With its sweeping views, miles of trails, and ancient forests, Mt. Tamalpais is a beloved local treasure. But the mountain also faces many challenges such as invasive weeds, forest diseases, and the effects of climate change.
The One Tam partnership mobilizes the resources of the National Park Service, California State Parks, The Marin Municipal Water District, Marin County Parks and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancyto ensure a vibrant future for Mt. Tamalpais.
I walk out of this program with more perspective and a powerful mindset, to get out there and make a change. The One Tam LINC high school program made me realize that this is exactly what I want to do with my life: be outdoors and explore, while at the same time giving back to my community.

The mountain gives to all of us selflessly and constantly. The challenge is for each of us to consider in what way we can repay the generosity. Invent something, donate, pull weeds, shore up trails, volunteer with One Tam and you will become a Tamalpaian.
