Nature Journaling Walk

Join our Rangers for a guided walk at Ring Mountain and discover the landscape through nature journaling. Slow down, observe seasonal plants, wildlife, and scenic vistas, and learn simple techniques for recording your observations through writing and sketching. No artistic experience required. The hike will cover approximately 2 miles on uneven terrain with moderate elevation gain. Distance may vary based on conditions and group pace. Appropriate for teens and adults. (We will host a family-friendly version of this program on November 22. Junior Rangers: Nature Journaling, including hands-on activities for ages 5-12.) No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Bring a notebook, a pencil, or other favorite journaling supplies. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.
