Trailside First Aid Hike

Join our Rangers for a guided hike to learn practical first-aid skills for the trail. Along the way, we will discuss how to recognize and respond to common outdoor injuries and emergencies, what to include in a basic hiking first-aid kit, and tips for staying safe while recreating outdoors. The hike covers approximately 2 miles on uneven terrain with about 200 feet of elevation gain. Appropriate for teens and adults. (We will host a family-friendly version of this program on October 11. Junior Rangers: Trailside First Aid, including hands-on activities for ages 5-12.) No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.
