Deer Island Preserve

Join rangers and Latino Outdoors for a fun mid-morning hike at Deer Island to discover the local wildlife and unique views of this wonderful preserve. Appropriate for all ages. We will cover approximately 1.8 miles and 130 feet of elevation gain. Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status.

Directions: Meet at the gate on Deer Island Ln in Novato. From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave, then head east for 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave, then left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
