Devil’s Gulch

Tucked in a canyon of San Geronimo Valley, this lovely trail follows a shaded creek lined with the golden leaves of big-leaf maples this time of year. We'll explore the lush understory, keep an eye out for birds, see if we can pick out California nutmeg among the other conifers, and try to find a sunny spot for lunch. Dress warmly as it can be surprisingly cold in this shaded gulch. Total miles: 2.5 miles. There is little elevation change but the trail is narrow and uneven in places. This walk is offered in partnership with State Parks. Remember to bring lunch, warm layers, and binoculars if you have them. No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
