BOTHIN MARSH EVENTS

One Tam is working to protect Bothin Marsh and the Bay Trail from sea level rise. Weigh in!

May 22, 2023, 9:00 am-4:00 pm: Tam Van at Bothin Marsh. Stop by to say hi to One Tam staff, and learn about updates to the project designs for enhancing Bothin Marsh's resilience to sea level rise and elevating the trail. No RSVP needed.

Monday, May 22, 2:30-4:00 pm: Evolving Shorelines Tour of Bothin Marsh. Learn about how sea level rise is impacting Bothin Marsh and what One Tam is doing to help. The tour will be led by Evolving Shorelines project staff Rob LaPorte, Project Manager at the Parks Conservancy and Veronica Pearson, Senior Ecological Restoration Planner for Marin County Parks. June 30, 9:30 am-11:00 pm: Evolving Shorelines Coffee Hour. Join the Evolving Shorelines Project team, Marin County Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters, and Marin County Parks Director Max Korten and talk about One Tam's project to restore marsh resilience and protect the Bay Trail. No RSVP necessary.

June 30, 2023, 11:30 am-1:00 pm: Evolving Shorelines tour of Bothin Marsh. Come walk the trails at Bothin Marsh and learn about the historical ecology of the wetlands, and proposed plans for enhancing the marsh's resilience to sea level rise and elevating the Bay Trail through south Bothin Marsh. May 6, 2023, 10:00 am-12:00 pm: Forest Health Tour at Lake Lagunitas. Walk and talk with One Tam partner staff through a Forest Health project area. Learn more about the why's and how's of One Tam's work to help improve the health and resilience of Mt. Tamalpais' forests. REGISTER >>

June 21, 2023, 5:30-7:30 pm: Summer Solstice Forest Health Tour. Celebrate the longest day of the year—the Summer Solstice—by celebrating forests! Come walk and talk with One Tam partner staff through this special site where we’re taking action to protect the mountain’s forests. This walk will be led by Danny Franco, Project Manager at the Parks Conservancy, who led the development of the Marin Regional Forest Health StrategyREGISTER >>

April 29, 9 am-12 pm: The Creatures of Carson Falls. Meet us at the Tam Van, stationed at the trailhead to Azalea Hill and Carson Falls, located above the town of Fairfax for this family-friendly member event! Learn about local pollinators, the foothill yellow-legged frog, and more! Then take what you’ve learned out on the trails for a self-guided hike or a pollinator scavenger hunt. REGISTER >>
