Sharing Space with Wild Carnivores

Join Ranger Shannon and special partner Project Coyote for a hike and conversation with Sarah Killingsworth, a Marin County-based wildlife conservation photographer and filmmaker, CA Naturalist and Program Chair for Project Coyote’s Keeping it Wild Youth Education and Outreach Program. We will look for signs of native predators like coyotes, bobcats, badgers, and foxes on Ring Mountain. As human development expands and traditional habitats shrink, many of these species are living in closer proximity to humans. Sarah has spent years observing and documenting native predators in both suburban and wild environments, and as we hike and look for wildlife, she will share coexistence tips as well as insights into how wildlife adapts to living in our midst. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Check the calendar, or if in doubt, call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration required.
