Description: This guided hike invites community members to lean into reflection and intention-setting as the year comes to a close, through a visit to Marin Water’s most recent prescribed burn site. Here, we’ll learn about the history of fire in California’s oak woodlands and why Marin Water is working to bring prescribed fire back to the landscape. We'll also learn about logistics of planning and facilitating a prescribed burn, and how it takes a community coming together to make it happen. This program invites participants of all ages to ask: What can we learn from fire? Attendees should be prepared to hike about three (3) miles with some moderate uphill sections.

Location: Bon Tempe, Sunnyside Trail

• Participants will meet at the Bon Tempe Lake Trailhead
