Carson Falls

This walk will be lead by Suzanne Whelan, Marin Water District Volunteer Coordinator and One Tam partner.
Join Suzanne for a walk on beautiful Carson Ridge through serpentine chaparral, a shaded forest lush with ferns, milkmaids, and, blooming fetid adder’s tongue, before having lunch beside the waterfall. This is one of the few remaining breeding sites in Marin for the rare foothill yellow-legged frog. Suzanne will discuss efforts to help the frogs, including the frog docent program, what has been learned, and ways people can get involved. The trail is rocky and there are several hills along the way. Total miles: 4. Elevation change: 430'. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.

Questions: Contact Shannon Burke at SBurke@marincounty.org.
