Lecture: Spring Birdsong

This lecture is intended for ages 18 and up. Step outside on any spring day and you’ll almost certainly be greeted by a vibrant choir of birdsong. But why do birds sing and how are these songsters capable of such amazing vocal feats? In this lecture we’ll explore these questions as well as the physiological changes behind the song burst that heralds the coming of spring. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend.

No registration is required.

Questions: Contact Shannon Burke at (415) 473-6086.

Directions: From Hwy 101 in Corte Madera, take the exit for Tamalpais Dr west. Turn left onto Stanford St and turn right onto Meadowsweet Dr. Library is on the right.
