Please join Marin Water and Marin County Parks for our annual Bald Hill Broom Bust! Volunteers will focus on containing the spread of French and Scotch broom monocultures and also eradicating pioneer patches. 

Gathering location is Sky Ranch Open Space at the top of Crest Rd in Fairfax. Folks can hike, bike, or carpool to the site. If you want to carpool and/or follow a staff member driving up the hill, be at Deer Park at 8:45. If you want to hike, it takes about 40 minutes from Deer Park. Parking is limited at the top. This family-friendly activity is suitable for ages 8 and up, with parental supervision required for volunteers under 16. Tools, gloves, water, and LUNCH will be provided. Please dress for variable weather, wear close-toed shoes with ankle support, and bring a water bottle.

We welcome the rain and will only cancel under extreme winds or heavy downpour.
