Description: This guided hike invites community members to lean into reflection and intention-setting as the year comes to a close, through a visit to Marin Water’s most recent prescribed burn site. Here, we’ll learn about the history of fire in California’s oak woodlands and why Marin Water is working to bring prescribed fire back to the landscape. We’ll also learn about the logistics of planning and facilitating a prescribed burn, and how it takes a community coming together to make it happen. This program invites participants of all ages to ask: What can we learn from fire?

• Free parking passes for registered participants 

Location: Bon Tempe, Sunnyside Trail

• Participants will meet at the Sky Oaks Parking Kiosk and travel together to the the Bon Tempe North East Parking Area
