Tennessee Valley Guided Hike (Rooted in the Watershed Series)
Rooted in the Watershed Event Series: Join One Tam staff for our summer Rooted in the Watershed guided hike series, where we travel from peak to Pacific through the forests of Marin County. Starting on Mt. Tamalpais, we will follow the water all the way out to Lagunitas Creek, stopping at several forest types on the way. This series encourages folks to reflect upon how our parks are connected through the watershed they share, and how, through collaborative management, we can foster more resilient landscapes.
***These hikes have a registration cap; RSVPs are required! Event details including meeting locations will be provided upon registration. RSVP HERE: https://forms.gle/UEvnKKLUFyCpSZqX9
Tennessee Valley Eucalyptus Guided Hike: For our second event in the series, we will travel to the forests of Tennessee Valley, where Marin Water staff will share the story of the introduction of Eucalyptus to the site in its ranching days. Through nature journaling activities, we will imagine future restoration of the willow riparian forests that historically dotted this landscape. Folks should be prepared to walk about 3 miles. Parking is free!
