Deer Island Open Space Preserve

Enjoy a hike up and around Deer Island with Ranger James. We'll take a leisurely pace as we make our way up the De Borba Trail and around the Deer Island Loop Trail. Approximately 2 miles with an elevation gain of 160ft. Appropriate for all ages. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Friendly dogs are okay but must be on leash. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel the event. Call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.

Directions: Meet at the gate on Deer Island Ln in Novato. From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave east 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave and left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
