Marin Water Turtle Docent Training
Marin Water is kicking off its Spring Frog & Turtle Docent Programs in March! Volunteers have the opportunity to support Mt. Tam's Foothill Yellow-Legged Frog (FYLF) and Western Pond Turtle through their community science programs.
Some of California's strongest populations of FYLF are here in Marin County! Volunteers help protect and maintain the FYLF population at Little Carson Falls through visitor engagement, education, and monitoring. More information about the Frog Docent volunteer position can be found here.

The Western Pond Turtle is the only native freshwater turtle in California and is listed as a Species of Special Concern by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Volunteers help assist biologists in the monitoring of the turtle populations in Marin's lakes. More information about the Turtle Docent volunteer position can be found here.
