Loma Alta Birds and Flowers

This fire road passes through some great wildflower habitats including serpentine soil hosting several unusual species. It’s also one of the best places to see some great birds, including grasshopper sparrows, horned larks, and lazuli buntings. Please note - this is an open, sunny walk with very little shade and is a steady climb up and then back down, but we’ll take it slowly. Total miles: 4.5. Elevation change: 500'. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.

Registration is required.
Questions: Contact Shannon Burke at Shannon.Burke@marincounty.gov.
