Loch Lomond Marina

The short levee that wraps around Loch Lomond Harbor gives the feeling of being out in the bay with the Marin Islands just a stone’s throw away. If we’re lucky we’ll spot oystercatchers, turnstones, and sandpipers along the shore as well as winter waterfowl foraging on the open water. After a quick lunch we can explore some of the other paths in this area as well. Total miles: 2. This is a level, well-maintained pathway. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.

Directions: Meet at the Loch Lomond Marina Park parking lot. From Highway 101 take the downtown San Rafael exit. Turn east onto 2nd St .3 mi, continue onto 3rd St .4 mi, continue onto Point San Pedro Rd 1.6 mi. Turn right onto Loch Lomond Dr. Continue past Andy’s Local Market and follow to the end.
