Estero Trail

Point Reyes National Seashore
Monday, August 4, 2025, 10am – 2pm

This trail will take us through a variety of habitats offering the possibility to find songbirds in the trees, raptors soaring overhead, and early migrating shorebirds. We'll have lunch overlooking the estero and if we're lucky we might even spy leopard sharks moving through the shallow bay waters. Total miles: 4. Elevation change: 150’. This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.

Directions: Meet at the Estero Trailhead. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1 and go 2 miles. Follow Sir Francis Drake Blvd 8.4 mi. Turn left at the “Estero Trail” sign follow .8 miles to trailhead parking.
