Deer Island Preserve

Come along with Ranger Lauren for an exciting mid-morning hike at Deer Island. We'll explore the preserve's wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, and a snack. Distance: 1.8 miles; elevation gain: 130 feet. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Directions: Directions: Meet at the gate on Deer Island Ln in Novato. From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave east 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave and left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
