Deer Island Preserve

Experience Deer Island after sunset on a guided night hike. As the forest settles and stars appear, we'll explore the sights and sounds of nocturnal life on this peaceful evening walk. The hike will cover up to two miles on mostly flat, even terrain. Distance may vary based on conditions and group pace. Appropriate for all ages. Please dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Bring a flashlight. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.

Directions:  From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave, east 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave and left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
