Lecture: Wildflowers

This lecture is intended for ages 18 and up. Take a springtime hike anywhere in Marin and you're likely to see a wide assortment of wildflowers. The different plant habitats found here are home to a great diversity of flowering species. This lecture will focus on both common and rare wildflowers found in the county, some of the different strategies plants employ to entice pollinators, as well as ways plants go about dispersing their seeds.

Directions: From Hwy 101, take the exit for N San Pedro Rd east. (If coming from Hwy 101 south, follow signs to get to N San Pedro Rd). Turn left onto Civic Center Dr, then turn left onto Peter Behr Dr. The entrance to the Civic Center is at the top of the archway.
