Junior Ranger: Mini Raft Building & Maritime Storytelling

What better way for a junior ranger to spend their day than building a mini raft to race on spectacular Tomales Bay. Join ranger Heidi for raft craft building and storytelling about coastal navigation and how boats have been part of this bay for centuries.

Remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat.

Air Quality Index (AQI) that exceeds 150 on AirNow.gov, or other extreme weather may cancel events. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 after 8 am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if canceled.

Directions: Chicken Ranch Beach is located at 13000 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard Inverness., From Highway 101 in Larkspur, take the Sir Francis Drake Boulevard exit, travel 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Highway 1 and go 2.0 miles. Turn left on Sir Francis Drake and follow 4.7 miles. Drive past the Inverness Yacht Club and the Tomales Bay Resort motel. Look for cars parked on the road after the road bends left past the motel.
