Tomales Bay State Park
Wednesday, July 5, 2023, 10am – 2pm
This is a lovely summer destination. We’ll slowly descend through a lush, shaded forest of Bishop pines as we make our way to Tomales Bay where we’ll enjoy lunch on a beautiful secluded beach. If we’re lucky we may be entertained by terns and bat rays while we eat. Total distance: 3 miles. Elevation change: 475' including a sustained, one-mile, uphill climb. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Be sure to check the calendar two hours before the event to confirm the status. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.

Directions: Meet at the Jepson/Johnstone trailhead. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1 and go 2 miles. Turn left onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd 6.4 miles to Pierce Point Road. Go right on Pierce Point Road 1.0 miles. Parking lot is on the right (just after the sign "450-570 Pierce Point Rd"). If you get to the entrance to Heart’s Desire you’ve gone too far.
