Introduction to Kayaking

McNears Beach Park
Friday, December 16, 2022, 9am – 12pm
Learn the basics of kayaking from rangers. Rangers will teach the tips and techniques to become proficient in the water. Hot cocoa will be provided. Bring a kayak and a life vest. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed at this park. The entrance fee is waived for participants. Illness, adverse weather, or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, text or call (415) 320-5757 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Directions: Directions: Meet at the snack bar in McNears Beach Park in San Rafael (201 Cantera Way). From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the exit for Central San Rafael east. Take 2nd St east, which merges into 3rdSt, then turns into Point San Pedro Rd. Follow Point San Pedro Rd for 3.6 miles, turn right at Cantera Way, and follow to the large parking lot at the end.
