Family Walk: Blackstone Canyon

This secluded valley below the rugged east end of Big Rock Ridge is a great place to look for animals that are attracted to the creek. We’ll take a slow walk through the canyon to see who we find. It can be surprisingly cold here in the winter so be sure to dress warmly and bring layers. There’s little elevation change but the trail is narrow, rutted in places, and may be wet in spots. Strollers not recommended. Total miles: 1.5. Remember to bring lunch. No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
