Mount Burdell Preserve. Meet at the gate on Simmons Ln in Novato.
Sunday, February 23, 2020, 10am – 2pm
This walk is for 18 and up. One of the many rare plants found here in Marin County is an inconspicuous nodding white lily called the fragrant fritillary. We’ll visit a small population that should be in bloom this early in the season. We’ll then head up the trail to see some other early bloomers such as shooting star, milkmaids, star lily, and maybe a few surprises. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them.
Rain may cancel. If questionable weather, call (415) 473-6087 after 8am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if cancelled. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend.
No registration is required.

Directions: From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for San Marin Dr west, follow San Marin Dr 1.2 miles. Turn right onto Simmons Ln and follow to the end (dead end).
