Birds of Limantour

Every year a multitude of birds move through the outer areas of the county while migrating to their winter destinations. In late summer many of them are already on the move pausing here to refuel before continuing their journey south. We'll take advantage of the expansive beach as well as the trail that runs above the estuary as we scan for birds foraging with the tide and out on the open water. There is virtually no elevation change, but we will be walking in sand. Distance: 3 miles
This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore.

Remember to bring a lunch and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service animals) are allowed.
