Bear Valley

This is a wonderful place to spend a warm summer day. We'll follow a shaded creekside path to our lunch spot overlooking a lush meadow. This is a wide, well-maintained fire road. Distance: 3-4 miles. Elevation change is gradual: 250'
This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore.
Remember to bring a lunch and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service animals) are allowed.

Directions: Meet in the large parking area on the other side of the road from the Bear Valley Visitor Center., From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1. Go 500 feet, turn left onto Bear Valley Rd, follow 0.6 miles, turn left on Bear Valley Visitor Center Access Rd. Park in the gravel lot on the left (past the driveway for the Red Barn, and past the Visitor Center parking lot on the right).
