50th Anniversary: The Light Show

Come celebrate our anniversary and join Ranger Gabe for an invigorating evening hike of 3.5 miles to enjoy nature's light show.  Weather permitting, we’ll hike up Blithedale Ridge and watch the sun set behind Mount Tam. Next, we’ll walk along the ridge and watch the City's skyline light up under a rising full moon. Finally, we’ll switch on our own lights and descend through a dark forest. This is a moderately strenuous hike.

Please dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Bring a flashlight. Friendly dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. Parking is limited, carpooling is suggested.

Air Quality Index (AQI) that exceeds 150 on AirNow.gov, or other extreme weather may cancel events. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 after 8 am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if canceled.

Registration is required. For more information, contact Ranger Gabe Ngarangad at GNgarangad@marincounty.org.
