Litter Abatement Orientation Bonanza

Litter Abatement Orientation Bonanza

Marin Water

The visitation numbers are rising with the mercury in those thermometers, and it’s been great seeing so many folks enjoying Mount Tamalpais with summer around the corner! However, with more people comes more garbage that just doesn’t seem to want to make it into the trash cans around the watershed. If you’ve ever seen something shiny and crinkly on the side of the trail and wished you could take it out with you, here’s your chance: join us for a Litter Abatement Orientation, and never choose between “Guilt From Leave No Trace Failure” and “Ew, What Did I Just Touch With My Own Two Hands???” again!

Wednesday, June 28th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. [20-minute orientations] at Sky Oaks Ranger Station.

We’ll be around all morning on the second and fourth Wednesdays of June (6/14 and 6/28) to bolster our Litter Abatement Volunteer cohort. Drop in then for a 20-minute orientation, or email us at volunteerprogram@marinwater.org to schedule an alternative training slot! Then go out whenever you’d like as a volunteer.
