Senior Stroll: Loch Lomond Birds

Loch Lomond Marina Park, San Rafael

The short levee that wraps around Loch Lomond Harbor is a great place to go birding, and this is a wonderful time of year to visit. Within a stone’s throw of the bay, and with fabulous views of the Marin Islands, we’ll watch for birds foraging on the open water and along the shore. Total miles: 1. This is a level, well-maintained pathway, and is wheelchair accessible. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.
Registration is required. Use the automated system to sign up or cancel; event leaders do not manage registration.

Directions: Meet at the Loch Lomond Marina Park parking lot. From Highway 101 take the downtown San Rafael exit. Turn east onto 2nd St .3 mi, continue onto 3rd St .4 mi, continue onto Point San Pedro Rd 1.6 mi. Turn right onto Loch Lomond Dr. Continue past Andy’s Local Market and follow to the end.
