Upton Beach

Head out to beautiful Upton Beach and let your creativity run wild! Join ranger staff to engineer epic sandcastles and whatever else you can imagine. And we’re not limited to sand—use seaweed, driftwood, shells, and whatever else Mother Nature provides Let’s see what kind of unique masterpieces we can make! Work as a group or solo. Appropriate for all ages and skill levels. The only prerequisite is having a great time. We will provide some buckets and shovels, but feel free to bring your own. Bring water and sunscreen. Friendly dogs are ok but must be on leash. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, text or call (415) 798-7471 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration required.

Directions:  Meet at the beach near the north parking lot at Stinson Beach. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn left onto Hwy 1 and follow 13.6 miles, turn right at the “Stinson Beach Parking” sign, and park in the first lot on the right.
