Chicken Ranch Beach

Join rangers on a stand up paddle adventure along the western shore of Tomales Bay. We will embark from Chicken Ranch Beach, paddle up toward Heart’s Desire while we look for wildlife, and then back to Chicken Ranch Beach for refreshments. Total distance is 4.5 miles. This event is ideal for beginners with some experience to intermediate paddlers. We will provide light snacks and water on the beach. Bring your board, paddle, PFD, gear, and water bottle. Registration is required to participate in this event. Adverse weather, or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, text or call (415) 497-1364 two hours before the event to confirm the status.
Directions: Meet at the Chicken Ranch Beach pullout. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the Sir Francis Drake exit 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1 and go 2 miles. Turn left onto Sir Francis Drake and follow 4.7 miles, parking is on the right. Parking is limited.
