Observe the Moon Night

Join Ranger Gabe and the Marin Stargazers for International Observe the Moon Night! We’ll have telescopes set up to view the amazing craters, mountains, and lava plains of our closest celestial neighbor. But we won’t stop there as Saturn, with its rings, colorful double stars like Albireo, and deep sky treasures await as night falls. Connect with the cosmos at beautiful Mt Burdell in Novato! Appropriate for all ages. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Bring a red flashlight and binoculars if you have them. Please be advised there will be an elevation gain of 220’ and we will be walking in the dark on an uneven road surface.  Friendly dogs ok but must be leashed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.

Questions: Contact Gabe Ngarangad at GNgarangad@marincounty.org.

Directions: Will be provided upon registration.
