Family Walk: Evening at Deer Island

Spend the evening taking a walk through oak forests and open meadows with the family. We’ll climb the hill to a beautiful little ridge that rises above the surrounding marshland and is a great place to enjoy a picnic dinner. Total miles: 2. Elevation change: 200'. Remember to bring dinner. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Be sure to check the calendar two hours before the event to confirm the status. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.

Directions: Meet at the gate on Deer Island Ln in Novato. From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave east 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave and left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
