CANCELLED - San Geronimo Salmon

Each year, several species of Pacific salmon migrate up certain creeks to breed. We’ll look for evidence of fish as we discuss the biology of these remarkable animals. The timing of these activities is subject to numerous environmental variables, but if we're lucky and have had enough rain, we might observe spawning activity. It can be very cold by the creek so bring warm clothing; binoculars and polarized glasses are helpful to see the fish better. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Save time on the day of the event by signing in now. Be sure to check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Illness, adverse weather, or poor air quality may cancel.

Questions: Contact Shannon Burke at SBurke@marincounty.org.

Directions: Meet in San Geronimo at the San Geronimo Commons Clubhouse (5800 Sir Francis Drake Blvd – previously the golf course clubhouse). From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 10.2 miles. Look for the “Welcome to San Geronimo” sign and turn right into driveway just before the sign (if you get to Nicasio Valley Rd you’ve gone too far).
