CANCELLED - Hamilton Wetlands

What was once part of an Air Force base, the Hamilton airfield is now an expansive network of tidally influenced wetlands and ponds. This newly restored area has become a magnet for shorebirds and waterfowl. We’ll go for a slow walk along the level fire road that skirts the wetlands as we discuss the identification and life histories of the birds we see. Distance: 2.5 miles.

Remember to bring a lunch and binoculars if you have them. We request that no pets (except service dogs) attend.

Be sure to check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Factors including illness, adverse weather, or Air Quality Index (AQI) that exceeds 150 on AirNow.gov may cancel events.

Save time on the day of the event by signing in now
