Bucks Landing Broom Bust

Join San Pedro Ridge Fire Safety volunteers, a group of volunteers who have removed French broom on San Pedro Ridge for several years. They've made incredible progress in suppressing broom regrowth to improve fire safety for their community. You will pull broom and drag material to a chipper. Appropriate for ages 12 and older. Bring work gloves, boots or sturdy shoes, long sleeves, pants, water, eye protection (sunglasses are sufficient), and a hat. Be prepared to get dirty. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, text or call (415) 250-0941 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.

Directions: Meet at Bucks Landing Boat launch on 665 N San Pedro Road. From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the exit for N San Pedro Rd east for 2.4 miles. Turn Left into Bucks Landing parking lot, there will be a wayfinding sign on San Pedro to guide you.
