As spring is winding down in inland areas, the maritime influence prolongs the season along the coast of Point Reyes. We’ll explore this area for breeding birds and an interesting assortment of dune and coastal plant species. Total miles: 3. We'll be walking in sand dunes part of the time. This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Save time on the day of the event by signing in now. Be sure to check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Illness, adverse weather, or poor air quality may cancel.

Directions: Meet at Abbotts Lagoon parking lot. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1 and go 2 miles. Turn left onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd and go 6.4 miles. Turn right at Pierce Point Rd and go 3.4 miles, the trailhead is on the left.
