Rooted in Connection Guided Hike

Description: This guided hike invites community members to learn about California native plants’ adaptations to fire, through a visit to Marin Water’s most recent prescribed burn. We’ll investigate early successional species, dig into fascinating botanical adaptations, and learn about vegetation management practices in disrupted areas. This hike encourages folks of all ages to interact with the unique cycles of fire in our oak woodlands, and ponder the themes of rebirth and renewal as we enter into the heart of spring.

  • Free parking passes for registered participants 

Location: Bon Tempe, Sunnyside Trail

  • Participants will meet at the Sky Oaks Parking Kiosk and travel together to the the Bon Tempe North East Parking Area
