Marin County Parks during World War II

Join Ranger Mike Warner for a history presentation about Marin County Parks properties during World War II. The presentation will include information about Paradise Beach’s use as a training center for repairing naval vessels, Hamilton Army Airfield, and military aviation crashes within White Hill, Loma Verde, and Rush Creek.

This event is ideal for ages 8 and up, though people all ages are welcome. Parks will provide hot chocolate, coffee, and snacks. Sorry no pets (except service animals).

Directions: Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the exit for Lucas Valley Rd west 1.9 miles. Turn Right onto Mt Lassen Drive, right onto Jeanette Prandi Way, and follow to the end (middle fork) past the juvenile hall. Park in the mowed dirt lot.
