Mt. Tam

Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 2pm-5pm: One Tam Member Hike - West Peak into the Northside

One Tam Member Hike - West Peak into the Northside

Meeting location: West Peak entrance (google map)

Join us for a 5.8 mile loop from West Peak. We will enjoy beautiful views and diverse habitats as we traverse through chaparral, hardwood and Doug fir forests, and forest meadows.  This is an opportunity to visit a quieter side of the mountain and learn more about two areas proposed for One Tam restoration: Potrero Meadow and West Peak.  We will take the Arturo Trail down to Northside and Lower Northside Trails, Lower Northside Trail, Azalea Meadow Trail, Lagunitas-Rock Spring Fire Rd, and then Mountain Top Trail back to West Peak. For those who wish to shorten the hike, there is the option to do a shorter loop of approximately four miles.

Bring sturdy shoes, layers, plenty of water and a snack. For any questions, feel free to contact Monica Stafford mstafford@onetam.org.
